We want to be a resource for community members to inform them about the economic and social benefits of introducing more businesses to the community. Our goal is to engage in a constructive dialogue addressing concerns.
We want to work with residents to build a brighter community for our children and grandchildren. We believe we can help by ensuring there are plenty of local opportunities while maintaining the quality of life that endears so many of us to the Hudson Valley.
The Hudson Valley has a strong workforce, but many new and expanding businesses are moving to states with lower taxes. We need to attract businesses that provide well-paying jobs for local families that grow the economy.
The Hudson Valley is a wonderful place to raise a family. But the high cost of living and taxes make it hard to get ahead. Too many young people go elsewhere after college in search of a more affordable place to call home. We want to change that.
Without strong businesses, taxpayers must carry the burden to pay for schools, police, fire, and roads. These are serious problems, but there’s an easy solution that can make a difference- strategic economic development.
Economic development improves quality of life. It provides better job opportunities so people can stay here in the Hudson Valley rather than being forced to relocate. Economic development means that residents get to keep more of their money with more tax dollars from businesses to pay for schools and community services.
